Is your church using technology effectively and efficiently to carry out your mission?

For over 15 years ChurchTech has been helping churches deal with technology: from some of the first conferences on the topic in the early 1990's to consultations and seminars today.

You may wonder if there is really a need for specific expertise about technology for churches.  After all, most churches have members who are quite familiar with technology for homes, businesses, and schools.  So can't churches just tap those internal human resources for the information that they need.  Sometimes they can, but sometimes that can be risky for the church.  Why?

So, how can ChurchTech help your church?

bullet Seminars - attend or host one of these informative events.
bullet Consultations - get the recommendations you need by bringing the expertise to your location.
bullet Resources - get printed or digital materials to help you make decisions, implement changes, and minister more effectively.
bulletCustom Solutions - Do you need ongoing help to get the technology ministries in your church on the same page?  Are you building a new facility and want to be sure that the technology investment you are making isn't outdated and mismatched by the time the building is done?  Is your judicatory eager to help its member churches struggling with technology problems, but unsure of how to accomplish that goal?  For these and other circumstances, contact ChurchTech to arrange the best mix of onsite assessment and distance advising to deal with your special situation.

Did You Know...

...that sometimes orthopedic surgeons and carpenters use the same brand and model of cordless drills?  It is true.  Both professionals need a reliable tool to turn a drill bit at the desired speed, regardless of whether wood, bone, or metal is being bored into.  Even though the basic machines may be identical, each application requires its own appropriate drill bits.  And, certainly, the skills and experience of the operators need to be quite different.

ChurchTech is unique in several ways:

bulletDepth of Experience - Brad Miller has been a visionary who predicted the significant impact that video projection and the Internet would have on ministry.  Well before ChurchTech was conceived of as a name, he was working with computers and audio-visuals in churches.
bullet

Breadth of Experience - As an ordained Lutheran Pastor with experience including interim ministry, church-planting, and church construction, Brad Miller understands parish ministry. He has worked with churches representing more than a dozen denominational traditions.  Whether sending laptops to Tanzania, designing and building a low-budget, high-tech worship facility in Iowa, resolving a congregational "vision-collision" in Ohio, or assessing the best location for a church to build on in Colorado, he has worked with local leaders to accomplish the task.

bullet

Systems Approach - Consider the variety of technologies that may be present in a church: office computers, a copier/duplicator, the video projection system, the sound system, and most critically, the different groups of people that either use or receive the benefits of all these overlapping systems. Getting the most results and value out of these different systems requires understanding the entire congregation as a system.  As a trained and experienced  consultant, Brad Miller understands how to connect professional knowledge with individual assessment to find solutions that work in each particular context.

bullet

Church Growth Orientation - Brad Miller's work with churches always has a single over-riding theme: to help them better accomplish the work of the Great Commission.  He shares the general view that it is important for churches to understand what they are doing well and what they could be doing better.  Using the important analytic gifts that God has blessed us with allows us to honor such a blessing while humbly realizing that the ultimate outcomes of belief and salvation are accomplished solely by God.
