We prefer to have the seminars hosted in local churches.
First, we like the opportunity to bless churches financially. Second,
church facilities tend to be well designed for teaching and hospitality.
Third, it just makes sense to demonstrate technology intended for ministry use
in that intended environment. We compensate our host churches very well by
making them partners in the success of the event. Host churches receive a
free General Technology Assessment plus 40 percent of the net proceeds from the
event.
Host church responsibilities:
 | Provide an appropriate room for the seminar, including
sound system and video projector (we can probably help you find a free rental
if you lack a projector). |
 | Duplicate, address, and mail invitations to area churches.
(We provide the addresses in ready-to-print format.) |
 | Provide coffee and a cold beverage (iced tea or lemonade
usually) for participants. |
 | Provide a list of nearby restaurants. |
 | Provide a place where participants can eat a lunch if they
choose to bring one. |
 | Provide a volunteer to run the registration table. |
 | Provide a volunteer to run the resource table. |
Host Churches receive:
 | A free General Technology Assessment valued at $1200! |
 | Forty percent of the net registrations. |
 | Net registrations = Total registration fees minus Dr.
Miller's expenses (travel, lodging, & meals), minus your costs (postage,
copying, beverages). |
