ChurchTech is pleased to offer Capital Appeal Campaign services for congregations and ministries. The process begins with a specialized Glass Cockpit Assessment. Our consultants then analyze the giving patterns, attitudes, and organizational trust levels and design a customized campaign for you. Our campaigns are based on sound Biblical principles and are intentionally designed to both raise project-specific funds and contribute to the long-term improvement of healthy stewardship attitudes.

How does the process work?

  • You pay for a specialized Glass Cockpit pre-Capital Appeal Assessment.
  • You receive the report and our proposal.
  • We refine and adapt the proposal as needed through conversation with you.
  • The final proposal includes the overall plan, our fees, and the estimated direct costs. (Direct costs cover printing, consultant travel, DVD production, Vision Celebration meals, etc. In most cases, these fees are paid directly to the provider.)
  • If you choose to retain us, you pay a ten percent deposit for our fees. The remainder of our fees are paid in 9 more monthly installments of ten percent each.
  • You pay the direct fees to the providers in a timely manner as they are billed.
  • Each congregation's campaign is unique, but a typical pattern includes: Senior Pastor coaching, staff training, Cornerstone donor visits, material development, every member canvas training, the vision celebration event, and the follow-up systems.

Our fees are attractively competitive and and our work is done in a manner that is both professional and God honoring. The experience of generations of church capital campaigns attests to the reality that externally managed campaigns pay for themselves through net increase in donations. An externally managed campaign also allows your staff and leaders to focus on what they do well, rather than trying to develop a rather specific skill set that they may use only once or twice in a career. We realize that, though it makes perfect cost-effective sense, there can be a jarring sticker shock for congregations that are unaccustomed to such expense.

We believe that no church should be deprived of professional capital campain management. Hence, though our preference is for the ten payment flat fee described above, we are committed to helping churches that might not otherwise be blessed with a professionally managed campaign. Towards that end, we also offer a reduced cost option. The reduced cost option will typically raise less funds than a full service campaign, but more funds than a congregation would raise on its own. It works like this:

  • You pay for a specialized Glass Cockpit pre-Capital Appeal Assessment.
  • You receive the report and our proposal.
  • We create a low-cost proposal for you.
  • Our consultant makes one trip to your location to meet with your Pastor, staff, and key leaders. Our consultant has dinner with 10 of your top donors.
  • You pay $1500, plus the consultants travel, lodging, and meals.
  • We provide PDF files for your campaign and an instructional outline.
  • You pay an additional $1500 after 12 months.
  • You pay a final $1500 after another 12 months.

We can also help you self-fund a professional camapaign by hosting a conference in your area!

Tip of the Day

The job of pastor encompasses many different roles: preacher, leader, teacher, pastoral caregiver, liturgist, counselor, social worker, office manager, personnel manager, and more. Which two or three tasks are most critical for the goals and vision of your church? Do whatever you can to minimize the time your pastor needs to spend on the less critical tasks.
